• Classify muscles into skeletal, cardiac, and smooth types based on their structure and function.

• Describe the organizational layers of skeletal muscle, including endomysium, perimysium, and epimysium.

• Explore the structure and function of cardiac muscle, including intercalated discs and conducting cells.

• Analyze the contractile apparatus and cytoskeleton of smooth muscle cells and the initiation of smooth muscle contraction.
